Pregnancy Yoga is not just about stretching out the tired body, It is a special time just for you, to create space and prepare in a mindful way for baby’s arrival. It is a time where you can observe, be in the moment and connect to your growing baby.
In this six week course we will focus on building strength in preparation for birth and relieving tension that commonly arises throughout pregnancy, like back aches and tired hips. We will also work on helpful breathing techniques through pranayama, and eliminate stress and anxiety with specific guided meditation and relaxation. There will also be time to connect with your class mates and form relationships that could last beyond your practice together on the mat.
Pregnancy Yoga is best practiced once entering your second trimester, and also make sure you have the clearance from your doctor even though this is a very specific and gentle practice.
